No Sudden Stops by Senseless Genius

Driving forward on the road of life makes you conscious of the pot holes and the dangerous people on the road. It makes you discipline to know when speeding is a necessary evil and when it may be okay to drive 20 MPH, so that everybody see you. One of the biggest things that you can't control is the traffic of people sharing the road with you. You will get everything from the driver who is defensive to the driver who makes their own lane and forces everyone else to follow the motion. The most essential part of the road traveled are the mirrors and how you use what you see, what you can anticipate, and the thin line between them both. Regardless of how much you use your rear view or the hindsight of whats in your peripheral, you still have to keep the eyes on the prize road ahead. Progression is not an alternate route, its the only road out of town. Sometimes you gotta drive for yourself and for those around you. Time to buckle up.

The Intersections Of An Identity (Journal Entry)

Journal Entry: November 25, 2009 8:17 AM/(Memoirs Of A Senseless Genius)
I once got lost in translation
within the path to becoming a better version of myself. The only thing that connected me with my course was the finger prints that an individual is forced to leave on their past. Growing in time as a finger does the size of its print. Capturing every moment of clarity only to lose it in a trance of insensibility. Trying to be what I have yet to become and learning to let go of the things that I will not be. Each chapter of the past is bookmarked for the reference towards the impending. The evolution of a thought, a figure, and/or a moment ---- is what defines the anticipation created by the inevitable progression of the future becoming the present.

The Intersections Of An Identity by Se
nseless Genius

Thoughts, contemplations, and reactions are key components to the structure of our character. Moreover, how we incorporate all of the above with our daily interactions helps form an identity. Realistically our identity is not as defined and absolute as a fingerprint. Most people live in a box where the individuality that authenticates our presence, holds less value than a counterfeit two dollar bill. Living vicariously through someone else picture frame. Seizing the road someone else is traveling. We all dream outside of character. Averting an impulsive life that we are too premeditated to explore.
Its a lot of open road ahead of you... and sleeping behind the wheel ends the journey.

Beautiful Music

Beautiful Music (an abstract symphony) ♫♪♬♫♪
by Senseless Genius

My thoughts come out in ways that I think should be connected to notes on a sheet of music... sitting alone making beats of rhetoric. Tapping those ideas against my skull-- just for it to barely scratch the surface. I love how the sound echoes in my head. I thought I heard it with the drums, but its a sound that travels with the wind. Refined sounds are produced through this beat. An arrangement that would play out in an empty stadium and rock it as if it was soiled in -- under my surface the admission just got sold out. Welcome to my brain-- I call it Madison Square -- or maybe its a squared circle without the ropes...no gates-- its a Garden... let everyone in. Now as I get back to the idea that I wanted to be lyrically defined, I hear this beautiful music coming from the garden. Or was it from the roof... up top, roses in the Mezzanine -- that type of garden. Or just let my thoughts be as bizarre as gladiolus on the court--Knicks that...I gotta get back to my beautiful music. I sit in my chair vibing to the beat...call it a floor seat, cause I never was good at playing musical chairs. I put my feet up and realized I was putting my feet down. Standing strong through stages in the garden...while the bed of bright bulbs remain uncultivated. The garden that I'm sharing... planting our foundation together. Open your mind and let the beat follow you--a fertilized sound even from underground. So, you pick the roses from our garden and the petals are growing thoughts. You'll always have access to the scent of the beautiful music.

Best I Never Had

"And if I ever (ever fall) in love again--- I will be sure that the lady is a friend. And if I ever (ever fall) in love again--- I will be sure that the lady`s just like you."

You know a lot of girls be... Thinking my blogs are about them,
This is not to get confused--- This ones for You. After writing about a multitude of issues, I came to the realization that I rarely write from the heart instead of the brain. The primary purpose of having a blog is being able to share your strong views & opinions. Yet, also to confront and give a written identity to the indecisiveness, vulnerabilities, and Achilles heels, that life's path create for you. With that being said, I offer you a free spirited--- "writers choice", in which is a revealing moment that gives confirmation that even the writer can sometimes become the focal point of the pen.
This post is a letter that I'm writing to a female who is my girlfriend in my own mind, but in reality, she exists only as an exclusive thought. Signed, Sealed, & Never Delivered.

"Best I Never Had" by Senseless Genius

Dear You,

I waited up for you last night. I cooked your favorite dish. You know--- that meal that I cooked the first night we spent together. I was kinda disappointed that I had to eat alone. I stared across the table, hoping that you would come through the door and fill the seat at the other end. Unfortunately, my wishful thinking was to no avail. Despite you missing dinner, I was sure that you would arrive in time to relax your body in the hot bath water that I ran for you. I even put rose petals in the water--- just the way you like it. But, as you can imagine, the steam from the water eventually faded, and the rose petals shriveled up. Its alright though--- it's more roses where those petals came from. You would have been so excited when you walked in and realized that I lit the rooms with those scented candles that you like --- every time I smell that scent, I think about you. I remember when I bought the wrong candles that time--- I thought that scent was the only candle that comes in that particular color [Guess I was wrong]. But back to our planned evening-- you won't believe what CD that I found--- yup, that one. Every song on there, reminds me of you. When I listen to it, I feel like the lyrics were written just for us. Oh, and remember earlier in this letter, I mentioned more roses--- well, I made sure I had enough petals that I could make a path from the door to the bedroom. I was so sure that you wouldn't notice them until you got to the bed-- but I still wanted to give you the path of a queen. Since I'm on the subject of queens, I wanted to share with you this interesting quote that i read today --- "A King should always separate himself from all of the other Jacks and stay away from the Clubs. The Queen will appreciate being his Ace, only when he stops thinking that Diamonds are the answer and start giving his Heart." --- I thought that was such a cool way of using wordplay with the deck. I knew you would appreciate that. I think you're the only one who really likes brain teasers more than me. I still can't believe that you didn't show up. I really anticipated a romantic night with you. I even wanted to give you that full body massage so that I could knead out all of the tension produced by your work days. Sometimes I wonder if you think about me when you're at work-- I'm sure that you know that you don't have to ask "when do I think about you?". Because the more suitable question would be "when don't I think about you?". I hope this letter is making you smile while reading it, the way it makes my thoughts smile while writing it.-- Well, I just wanted you to know that I'm not mad that you didn't show up. Actually, I'm starting to get used to not seeing you. That still does not stop me from thinking about you. I know that you appreciate all my efforts, but I would like to occasionally hear from you. Timing might be terrible for the both of us, but I don't wanna get to the point where we barely know each other. Please try to find me in the crowd. I'll be waiting.

P.S. Whether you know it or not, we were made for one another. It just takes time to realize that the puzzle piece that you were looking for, was sitting in front of you the whole time--- just flipped over.

Forever & Never Yours,
Me

I leave You with my Final Thought of the day…

This letter was written from my perspective of loving a person in your own mind. Creating anticipation through thoughts of experiences that don't exist. This letter reveals the abstract notion of trying to grab a hold of something that is not there. Searching for mutual love from a sentiment created purely by a desire. Now, in the opening statements of this post, I mentioned confronting vulnerabilities--- if a person can win a battle that isn't fought, maybe a person can love something that has never been pursued. Even if loving a stranger is not possible, it will always be the thought that counts.

Sexophobia

(DISCLAIMER: These abstract thoughts may have similarities to what you as the reader may have experienced. Some of my writings are first-base reading, but occasionally my adaptable thoughts aim for the fence. Different stages of life help us realize that, at times, growing pains can be an ironic parody. Chronicles are just experiences mixed with a theatrical edge that can be incorporated with real life situations. Sometimes I say things that are serious and put them in a joke form, so people can enjoy them. We laugh to keep from crying)

Making the transition from a teen to adulthood is one of the most enlightening periods in your life. It is the stage where you get confirmation that the things that you thought you knew about life, are not as concrete as what your premature intuition lead you to believe. Despite age not being the primary definition of an individual, its the years in life that gives added on experience and consistent opportunities for one to see the world out of a scope that can only be introduced by sheer maturation. So, when an older individual say that youth is wasted on the young, it is not a generalized attack on young people, rather its acknowledging the fact that the genuine appreciation for the simple things in life doesn't come around until its almost too late to fully experience the elements.
A lot Of Readers Think That My Writings Are About Them, This Is Not To Get Confused, This One Is For You.

"
Sexophobia"
by Senseless Genius
Motivation to write can come from multiple sources. Even during my most modest reflections, I can admit with pride that I live vicariously through my own personal growth. I am motivated by my experiences and inspired by the ability to learn from the people and things around me. However, casual conversations with some individuals leave deep impressions on me. Impressions that are so absorbing that it makes me want to write about it.
Now the context clues surrounding this posting would lead you to assume that this is going to be a narrative about mature sexuality. You would be accurate with that assumption, however, its not as simple as magnifying the basic principles of being comfortable with sex. In a certain degree, most adults are in control of their channels of sexuality. Nonetheless, it takes exposure, encounters, and practical understanding for a person to erase all of the pre-existing perceptions about sex that are instilled in your mind in the early years. For example, a young mindset supports the idea that oral sex is an experience that can only be offered as an exchange. Some would go as far as omitting this sexual act from their routine because of inexperience or disgust. Presenting the concept of oral sex to a less developed mind, might get responses such as "If I eat a girl pussy, she gotta give me some head", or the female version, I don't suck dick, I'm not a hoe like some of these girls". These are ideas that have been forced into the mind by public discernment and close minded individuals. Yet, it takes an integrated understanding of life's pleasures and an open mind for sensuality to understand that these sexual gestures don't always have to be an act of trading off or a bargaining tool, nor does engaging in this level of foreplay make you a "hoe" or "freak". A sexual appetite can be fed (no pun intended) in more ways than the traditional intercourse. Moreover, admitting that you enjoy the sensation or arousal that this extent of eroticism present, is not a degrade of your character or standards. If you ever get the opportunity to converse with a young person who has relations with people that are a lot older, and ask them whats the benefit or upside to being intimate with an older individual, you probably will get consistent responses. Most would give credit to the experience and their ability to treat the different levels of sex as the spices in life, rather than an indiscretion or something that will define how your peers view you. A young woman worries about the judgment of her friends in regards to sexual decisions. In addition, she fears that the things that happen in the bedroom will forever define her reputation. A young man functions off of pure adrenaline which is produced by the need to impress his friends and any person that he meets. Furthermore, his sexual maturation usually develops at a slower rate than the woman, which causes him to have an one track mind. This means that sex for him is an experience where its solely about his satisfaction and any secondary efforts put out by him are followed by unsubtle expectations. The two things that both young minds (male & female) have in common is the 1). fear to enjoy sex as an unrestricted, non-judgmental, selfless form of intimacy and 2). a naive state of mind. This is where maturity becomes a significant factor. Giving the individual the reassurance and security of knowing that sex does not have to be a taboo concept. Intimacy, whether in the form of fore-play or intercourse, can be some of the most pleasurable and satisfying moments in life. Therefore, if done in a safe, healthy, and tasteful (not the flavor, but actual class) manner, sex should leave no levels of remorse. Now I don't want my audience to think that I'm promoting a sex crazed world, but I do think that the dark cloud that hoovers over sex is sometimes undeserving. How often has good sex lifted your morale for an entire work/school day? If you're lucky, the answer would be more often than you can remember. If you're not so lucky, maybe you shouldn't work so hard, or in this case, work a little harder. As for my overall outlook on sexual favors, I think sex should be a full course experience. Intercourse is always going to be the main event, but the events leading up to it can be just as enticing. Also, to my selfish participants out in the world, you have to understand sex is a team sport. A selfless act of giving and not receiving isn't the let down that your friends want you to believe. Look at foreplay as warming up the car. In order for that drive to have the maximum enjoyment, you have to put in the necessary work. Whats beneficial for the receiver will eventually be favorable for the giver. Reaching a sexual peak is a satisfying highlight, but the occurrences along the way are worth their wait. Being "young, dumb, and full of cum" is a label that is given to the youth by older individuals. Replacing the "dumb" notion with "experienced" is not a rhyme-worthy insert, but its definitely a better credential to be associated with. Before this narration becomes a coaching lesson about sex, I want you to know that prior to the teacher picking up the chalk and pointing to the board, he/she had to sit in the seat and learn. Don't let fear and/or friends perception stunt your sexual growth. The satisfaction of your life can be produced by you, but it also can be taken away by others. The things that you decide to do or not to do, might be impressive to your platonic friends, but unfortunately they are not the ones who are getting in bed with you.
I leave You with my Final Thought of the day…
In life, you live and you learn. Hopefully, you do ample amount of learning while you're living. Its nothing wrong with receiving a sexual favor, nor is it wrong to give one. When it comes to sex, fair exchange is no robbery. When implemented with the right person, under the right circumstances, sex can make a conversion from being a guilty pleasure to your erotic bliss. You might be concerned with the views of your peers. But don't fret, the things that you are thinking about doing, most likely they have been doing behind close doors for years. Though, I did not focus on it too much in my narrative, I always want to promote a safe sexual experience. Sex is one of the elements in life where your decisions not only affect you. Wrap it up!

Pull Over For Directions

"Pull Over For Directions" © written by Senseless Genius
(Sometimes you find
motivation within yourself)

Life is black and white...No grey areas. You either do what It takes to be successful or become complacent with living in mediocrity. So many people dream big instead of living big. Comfort leaves no room for achievement. Some say pace yourself in the commencing laps and then push it for the final lap...but why not push hard throughout the whole race of life and pace yourself to the winner circle? Unfortunately, life is not as simple as gold, silver and bronze accolades, but rather its measured by two categories... the "movers & shakers" and the "wall huggers" (term made popular at your typical school dances). The movers & shakers adjust and evolve with the principles that lead to prosperity. While the "wall huggers" have the potential to be a M&S but are either worried about public perception or have become content with the narrow thought that the movers and shakers are some elite group that were born with a unique gift to produce under pressure (better known as the spotlight stealer). Nevertheless, these two types of individuals are only separated by state of mind oppose to any intellectual or charismatic attributes. One has found comfort with being a passenger without any possibilities of taking the wheel, while the other is driven by the aspirations to one day be the driver. Individual maturation helped me embrace the latter route. Even through professional growing pains, making the transition from being the passenger to the driver is as simple as becoming familiar with the roads. Let the dream chase be your GPS.
